John P. D'Arco practices as an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant in Phoenix, Arizona with a satellite law office in Chicago, Illinois and CPA office in San Diego, California. John also holds a federal license in taxation as an Enrolled Agent, allowing him to practice and represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and the State tax departments in all fifty States. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.
For the last thirty years, John has provided tax preparation, consultation and representation for individuals and closely-held businesses. His approach to Tax Preparation combines maximum tax burden reduction to the fullest extent allowed by law, and audit minimization by addressing and eliminating "red-flag" items. John provides Tax Consultation using practical legal advice to accomplish tax strategies and objectives.
John offers Tax Representation when necessary for audits and collections and protecting taxpayer rights in U.S. Tax Court as part of his law practice. John also practices law in the areas of estate planning, probate, real estate, business, and family law.
Over the years, John volunteered as an instructor for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at locations throughout Northern California including the University of California, Davis School of Law. Additionally, John played music for twenty-five years and became a Grammy Award Voting Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. John loves spectator sports and has attended many World Series games around the country.
